Let’s make the First Firefighter Skills Competition and Festival the Best, as we start a new tradition in Virginia.

In addition to enjoying the exciting competitive games among the firefighter and corporate teams, there will be many other reasons to spend the day with us. The Virginia Firefighter Games will be a fun-filled, family event with something for everyone.

Fire Truck Display Area

Who doesn’t love shiny fire trucks!? Our area’s finest will be proudly displaying a wide range of modern and antique fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and other first responder vehicles and equipment, and will be offering a “hands-on” experience. This is the chance to get a true inside look. Climb Aboard!

Demonstration Area

What is a day in the life a first responder really like? You can get a little insight at the demonstration area, which may include Jaws of Life demonstration, a look at AEDs (Automatic External Defibulator), rappelling from an aerial firetruck, fire hose demonstration, and more. Also featured here is a valuable “Down and Out smoke house” demo, where kids can learn how to properly exit a house that is on fire.

Bon Secours Health System will also be on site sharing valuable information.

Blood Drive

Our First Responders give so much of themselves to our community, here is an opportunity for all of us to help in our own way. Virginia Blood Services will be on site for guests who are able and willing to give blood.

Children’s Game Area

The kids won’t be bored, guaranteed. In addition to excitement of the competition, the event will also feature inflatables and other activities, many which will be first-responder themed.

Entertainment

Local musicians will be on hand all day to entertain guests.

Food Vendors

Some of the best restaurants within the Short Pump Mall complex will be offering food and drinks throughout the day.
